Wednesday Evening MTB Rides
All year round. The usual meet time is 7pm to ride for 1 or 2 hours,
generally on local trails. Local trails range from Bettyhill to Golspie.
During winter dark time, we still ride. Again meet at 7pm to ride for 1 or
2 hours, the trails we ride are more restrictive and tend to be the local
forests such as Dunnet, Rumster, Broubster etc., although as riders get
used to the idea of riding under lights we tend to go and ride something a
little more demanding such as John O'Groats, Bettyhill or Golspie.
You don't need to spend a lot of money on lights to go night riding. A good
head torch is sufficient and is used by many of the current riders.
Otherwise, there are systems available under £100 that will do your
commuting and MTB night riding.

Introduction to Dunnet Forest MTB Trail
For the final few weeks of this year, Dave Hall will be available on Sunday
mornings to guide ride the MTB trail in Dunnet Forest.
It is a good introduction to riding single track trail, and not too
technically challenging.
These rides will only take place by prior arrangement with Dave. Please
contact him by email if you are interested in discovering the delights of
Dunnet Forest by MTB.
